Reusing settings across different Twitch channels

You can reuse another Twitch channel's settings by mirroring them. This lets you adjust settings in one place and apply them across multiple channels.

Instead of updating settings in multiple dashboards, you only need to adjust them once on the source channel's dashboard.

Moobot can individually mirror the following settings from another channel:

  1. Custom commands, with their aliases and timers.
  2. Editors and their own permissions.
  3. Message filters.

You can choose a different source channel for each of these settings.

How to mirror a channel's settings​

Follow these steps to mirror another channel's settings to your current channel:

  1. Open the «More» menu from the main menu, then open the «Settings Mirroring» menu.The more main menuThe more main menu
  2. Click the «Select a channel to mirror...» input for the settings you want to mirror, and select the source channel from the drop-down menu.Selecting a Twitch channel to mirrorSelecting a Twitch channel to mirror

(⁎) If you get a permission error while trying to mirror a channel, it usually means you are an editor on that channel but lack the specific permissions required to mirror those settings.

How to stop mirroring another channel's settings​

Follow these steps to stop mirroring another channel's settings:

  1. Open the «More» menu from the main menu, then open the «Settings Mirroring» menu.The more main menuThe more main menu
  2. Click the drop-down input for the settings you want to stop mirroring, then press the «Backspace» key on your keyboard.
  3. The input will now be blank, meaning those settings are no longer mirrored on your current channel.Mirrored channel settingsMirrored channel settings

Required permissions for mirroring another channel​

To mirror another channel, you must be an editor on that channel and have the following permissions on the channel you're mirroring:

Settings Permissions
Custom commands, with their aliases and timers Permission to view the custom commands of the channel.
Editors and their own permissions Permission to view the editors of the channel.
Message filters Permission to view the message filter settings of the channel.
