Running ads on Twitch automatically
Never worry about when to run an ad again by having Moobot automatically run them for you! This lets you completely avoid crippling pre-rolls.
Once enabled, Moobot will run ads on your Twitch stream at your preferred interval.
Moobot also helps you time your ads for the most advantageous moments for you and your viewers, while avoiding pre-rolls at all times.

Follow these steps to enable Moobot to automatically run ads on Twitch:
- Open the
«Features»menu from the main menu, then open the«Special features»menu.

- While in the
«Special features»menu, activate the toggle button for the«Automatic Twitch ads»feature on the right-hand side.

- You may have to grant Moobot additional permissions to run ads on your channel. Once authorized, you are all set to adjust the settings to fit your needs.

Adjusting how often Moobot automatically plays an ad
Follow these steps to adjust your settings:
- Open the
«Features»menu from the main menu, then open the«Special features»menu.

- While in the
«Special features»menu, find the«Automatic Twitch ads»feature and click the«Settings»button on the right-hand side to open the settings menu.
- Select your preferred ad duration and interval.

- Click the
«Save»button at the bottom of the menu.
Announcing your automatic ads to your viewers
Moobot can announce in Twitch chat when an ad is about to play.
To activate announcements for your auto-ads, follow these steps:
- Open the
«Features»menu from the main menu, then open the«Special features»menu.

- While in the
«Special features»menu, find the«Automatic Twitch ads»feature and click the«Settings»button on the right-hand side to open the settings menu.
- Activate the toggle in the
«Announcements»section of your settings.

Moobot's announcements can also be sent as Twitch announcements. These are colored messages that stand out in chat, making them much less likely to be drowned out by other messages.
Timing your auto-ads better
It's crucial that your auto-ads do not run during important moments in your stream, which would cause your viewers to miss out.
The Twitch ads widget on your dashboard provides a full overview of your ads, including when the next auto-ad is scheduled to play and when pre-rolls are about to activate on your stream.

Any played ads will update the widget in real-time, whether they were run by Moobot or directly from Twitch by you or your moderators.
Moobot offers several ways to time your ads for the most advantageous moments for you and your viewers, while avoiding pre-rolls:
- Use the Twitch ads widget to manually run ads, which will automatically reschedule the next auto-ad.
- You and your moderators/editors can use the !Commercial built-in chat command to manually run ads, which will also reschedule the next auto-ad.
- Moobot can alert you about your ads with a sound or pop-up notification, giving you the option to delay them.
- Hotkeys can be used to run and delay ads, providing a quick and easy way to control your ads without opening your dashboard or typing a command in Twitch chat.
Getting notifications for your auto-ads
To ensure your ads play at the perfect time, Moobot can alert you with a sound or pop-up notification:
- When an auto-ad is about to play, so you have the option to delay it.
- When an ad hasn't played for a while.
- When an ad is about to end.
- When pre-rolls are about to activate on your stream, prompting you to run an ad to avoid them.
- When an ad has started playing.
To set up your notifications, open the ad notifications menu directly from the Twitch ads widget or from the bottom of the «Automatic Twitch ads» settings menu.

Using hotkeys to run and delay auto-ads
The Moobot Assistant desktop application allows you to set up hotkeys to easily control your ads without opening your dashboard or typing a command in Twitch chat.
These hotkeys can be used while you're in other apps and games, including while playing in full-screen mode.
Moobot Assistant lets you configure hotkeys to delay your next auto-ad.

You can also set up hotkeys to immediately run ads, which will reset the schedule for your next auto-ad.

Viewing the history of past ads
Moobot maintains a history of your past 100 ads, which you can view in the ad log menu.
This log displays Moobot's auto-ads, as well as any ads run manually by you or your Twitch moderators. This includes ads triggered through the Twitch ads widget, the !Commercial built-in chat command, or directly on Twitch.
You can access the log directly from the Twitch ads widget or from the bottom of the «Automatic Twitch ads» settings menu.

Common problems
Ads are not playing
Moobot cannot play ads for you in the following cases:
- You're not a Twitch Partner or Affiliate, or you are otherwise ineligible to run ads on your channel.
- Your stream has dipped to 0 viewers, preventing Moobot from detecting that your stream is online.
Some viewers are not seeing ads
If Moobot indicates the ad was successfully run, it was accepted and executed by Twitch. Moobot runs all ads directly through Twitch's system.
Whether or not a viewer sees the ad depends on various factors, making it difficult to pinpoint the exact reason. For example, an ad may not be available in their region, or the viewer might not fit the target demographic.
You can check the history of past ads to see if an ad failed to run.
