Recognizing and rewarding stream regulars on Twitch

You can add anyone in your Twitch community as a Moobot regular and then honor them with exclusive features, additional votes, lenient moderation, and more.

Follow these steps to add a Moobot regular:

  1. Open up the «User management» menu from the main menu, then open the «Regulars» menu from there. The user management menu
  2. Find the «Add a regular...» input at the bottom of the menu, type in the viewer's username on Twitch, and then either select the user or press the ENTER key. Adding a regular

Making your Twitch chat auto moderation more lenient for your regulars

By combining your Moobot regulars with your built-in auto moderation message filters with advanced mode activated, you can use entirely different auto moderation settings for your regulars.

In the following example, we set the auto moderation message filtering to use lenient settings for certain community members (Twitch subs, Twitch VIPs and Moobot regulars), while your other community members will have the standard filtering applied:

  1. Set up your Tiers first. Skip this step and adjust the following steps if you've already set up your Tiers to your liking.
    1. Open up the «User management» menu from the main menu, then open the «Tiers» menu from there. The user management menu
    2. Set up the Tiers as the following:
      1. Tier #1: «Normal user».
      2. Tier #2: «Subscriber».
      3. Tier #3: «Moobot regular» and «Twitch VIP». Set up for your Tiers
    3. Save your changes.
  2. Set up the built-in auto moderation message filters:
    1. Activate Advanced mode for your built-in auto moderation message filters.
    2. Adjust the profiles for your message filters. Repeat these steps for each message filter:
      1. Open up the «Moderation» menu from the main menu, then open the «Message filters» menu from there. The moderation menu
      2. Click the «Settings» button for the filter you want to adjust the profiles for. The settings button
      3. While in the settings menu, at the bottom of the menu, click the «Edit» button to the right-hand side of the «Setting profiles (Advanced mode)» section. The setting profiles section of the settings menu
      4. Click the «Add a profile» button twice, so you have 2 profiles.
      5. Adjust Profile #1 by dragging its slider until it says «From Tier 1 up to Tier 2».
      6. Adjust Profile #2 by dragging its slider until it says «From Tier 2 up to Tier 4». The menu with profiles added
      7. Save your changes.
      8. At the bottom of the message filter's settings menu, find the Tiers 2-4 (Moobot regular, Twitch VIP, Subscriber) row in the «Setting profiles (Advanced mode)» section, and click its (pencil iconed) edit button. Editing a message filter's profile

      10. Save your changes.

() In this step you can also adjust the other settings.

Your Moobot regulars, Twitch subs, and Twitch VIPs will now have more lenient filtering by Moobot's built-in message filters.

Lenient moderation settings

Letting your regulars post pre-approved trusted content in Twitch chat

By combining your Moobot regulars with your auto moderation whitelists, you can allow your regulars to post trusted content to your Twitch chat.

In the following example, we allow your Twitch subs, Twitch VIPs and regulars to post trusted content, while your usual message filtering will still affect your other community members:

  1. Set up your Tiers first. Skip this step and adjust the following steps if you've already set up your Tiers to your liking.
    1. Open up the «User management» menu from the main menu, then open the «Tiers» menu from there. The user management menu
    2. Set up the Tiers as the following:
      1. Tier #1: «Normal user».
      2. Tier #2: «Subscriber».
      3. Tier #3: «Moobot regular» and «Twitch VIP». Set up for your Tiers
    3. Save your changes.
  2. Set up who will be pre-approved for your trusted links:
    1. Open up the «Moderation» menu from the main menu, then open the «Whitelisted links» menu from there. The moderation menu
    2. Drag the slider for «Users who can post whitelisted links» until it says «Tiers 2 and up», and only displays «Moobot regular», «Twitch VIP» and «Subscriber». Restricting who will be pre-approved
  3. Set up who will be pre-approved for clips from trusted Twitch channels:
    1. Open up the «Moderation» menu from the main menu, then open the «Whitelisted clips» menu from there.
    2. Drag the slider for «Users who can post whitelisted clips» until it says «Tiers 2 and up», and only displays «Moobot regular», «Twitch VIP» and «Subscriber».

Your Moobot regulars, Twitch subs, and Twitch VIPs can now post your pre-approved content to your Twitch chat.

Letting your regulars bypass blocked words, phrases and behavior in Twitch chat

By combining your Moobot regulars with your auto moderation blacklists, you can allow your regulars to bypass your blacklists.

In the following example, we allow your Twitch VIPs and regulars to bypass your blacklists, while your other community members will have the blacklists applied to them as usual:

  1. Set up your Tiers first. Skip this step and adjust the following steps if you've already set up your Tiers to your liking.
    1. Open up the «User management» menu from the main menu, then open the «Tiers» menu from there. The user management menu
    2. Set up the Tiers as the following:
      1. Tier #1: «Normal user».
      2. (Optional) Tier #2: «Subscriber».
      3. Tier #3: «Moobot regular» and «Twitch VIP». Set up for your Tiers
    3. Save your changes.
  2. Whitelist the Tiers in your blacklist:
    1. Open up the «Moderation» menu from the main menu, then open the «Blacklisted phrases» menu from there. The moderation menu
    2. Open the edit-menu of a blacklisted phrase by clicking its (pencil iconed) button.
    3. Drag the slider in the «Whitelist» section of the settings menu until it says «Tiers 3 and up», and only displays «Moobot regular» and «Twitch VIP». The whitelist section of the settings menu
    4. Save your changes.
    5. Repeat the steps for each blacklisted phrase.

Your Moobot regulars and Twitch VIPs will now bypass your blacklisted phrases.

Giving your regulars additional chances to win your giveaways

By combining your Moobot regulars with your giveaways, you can give your regulars additional chances to win a giveaway.

In the following example, we will give your regulars two chances to win, while your other community members will only have one chance to win the giveaway:

  1. Open up the «Community» menu from the main menu, then open the «Giveaways» menu from there. The community menu
  2. Click the «Create giveaway» button at the bottom of the menu.
  3. While adjusting the settings of the giveaway, drag the «Moobot regulars» slider until it says «Moobot regulars have 2 times the likelihood to be drawn». Giving your regulars additional chances to win your giveaways
  4. Create the giveaway.

Your regulars will now have 2 chances to win the giveaway, while anyone else will only have one chance to win.

Restricting your giveaways to your regulars

By combining your Moobot regulars with your giveaways, you can restrict your giveaways to only accept entries from your regulars.

In the following example, we will restrict a giveaway to only accept entries from your regulars:

  1. Open up the «Community» menu from the main menu, then open the «Giveaways» menu from there. The community menu
  2. Click the «Create giveaway» button at the bottom of the menu.
  3. While adjusting the settings of the giveaway, activate its advanced options.
  4. Activate the «Only the selected user groups can participate» checkbox in the «Participation» section and select the «Moobot regulars» option in the «Select user groups» input. Restricting your giveaways to your regulars

Your giveaway will now only accept entries from your Moobot regulars.

Giving your regulars additional votes in your polls

By combining your Moobot regulars with your polls, you can give your regulars additional votes in your polls.

In the following example, we will make each vote of your Moobot regulars count as two votes, while a vote from any of your other community members will only count as one vote:

  1. Open up the «Community» menu from the main menu, then open the «Polls» menu from there. The community menu
  2. Click the «Create poll» button at the bottom of the menu.
  3. While adjusting the settings of the poll, drag the «Moobot regulars» slider in the «Multipliers» section until it says «Moobot regulars have 2 votes». Giving your regulars additional votes in your polls
  4. Create the poll.

Your Moobot regulars will now have 2 votes for each of their votes, while anyone else will only have one vote for theirs.

Restricting your polls to your regulars

By combining your Moobot regulars with your polls, you can restrict your polls to only accept votes from your regulars.

In the following example, we will restrict a poll to only accept votes from your regulars:

  1. Open up the «Community» menu from the main menu, then open the «Polls» menu from there. The community menu
  2. Click the «Create poll» button at the bottom of the menu.
  3. While adjusting the settings of the poll, activate its advanced options.
  4. Activate the «Only the selected user groups can participate» checkbox in the «Participation» section and select the «Moobot regulars» option in the «Select user groups» input. Restricting your polls to your regulars

Your poll will now only accept votes from your Moobot regulars.

Allowing your regulars to request songs

By combining your Moobot regulars with the Song Requests feature, you can restrict the feature to only accept requests from your regulars.

In the following example, we will restrict your Moobot to only accept Song Requests from your regulars:

  1. Open up the «Features» menu from the main menu, then open the «Special features» menu from there. The features menu
  2. Find the «Song Requests» feature and click the «Filtering» option in its «Settings» menu.
  3. Adjust the «Only accept requests from these user groups» input to only have «Moobot regulars» selected. Allowing your regulars to request songs
  4. Save your changes.

Your Moobot will now only accept songs from your regulars.

Letting your regulars request more songs than others

By combining your Moobot regulars with the Song Requests feature and its session restrictions, you can let your regulars request more songs than your other Twitch community members.

In the following example, we will let your regulars request more songs:

  1. Open up the «Features» menu from the main menu, then open the «Special features» menu from there. The features menu
  2. Find the «Song Requests» feature and click the «Settings» option in its «Settings» menu.
  3. Activate the «Session restriction» toggle button to activate session restrictions. Deactivated toggle button Activated toggle button
  4. Select «Moobot regulars» in the «Exempt these user groups from the restrictions» input. Letting your regulars request more songs than others
  5. (Optional) Further adjust the settings in the «Session restriction» section to fit your needs.
  6. Save your changes.

Your Moobot regulars will now have an unlimited amount of requests during their session, while any other community members will have a limited amount of requests.

Restricting a chat command to your regulars

By combining your Moobot regulars with your custom chat commands, you can make a chat command only usable by your regulars.

In the following example, we will restrict the use of a command to only your regulars:

  1. Open up the «Commands» menu from the main menu, then open the «Custom commands» menu from there. The commands menu
  2. Add a new chat command, or adjust one.
  3. While adjusting the settings of the chat command, activate its advanced options.
  4. Select «Moobot regulars» in the «Only allow these user groups to use the command in chat» input. Restricting a chat command to your regulars

Only your regulars can now use your chat command.
